About

I wanna feed the hungry children
And reach across the farthest land
And tell the broken there is healing
And mercy in the Father’s hands

– Britt Nicole

Food is a funny thing. Here in America we take it for granted while people across oceans die for it. So many of us use it to fill emotional and mental voids, have negative relationships with it and never realize it can heal us. Food is a topic that we don’t know enough about, yet make life altering decisions with it.

This blog is here to help you learn a little bit more about food. How it works in our bodies, how it can be used to heal and hurt us, and how to use it to get the physical and health results you want, and even need. I believe that together we can revolutionize your life via food and its home, your kitchen.

I’m a nutritionist in her 20’s, wife to an amazing man and soon to be mom. My heart is for the hungry and broken, specifically young moms. My many dreams in life include non-profit work with unwed teenage moms, getting a master’s degree in Nutrition Therapy (currently working on), becoming a wiser, healthier and happier wife and mom myself, traveling the world, living in a few different states and learning to play the piano.

I’m terrible at spelling and using proper grammar, keeping track of where my phone is, sitting still, waking up before the sun, and turning down cupcakes. I love to read (paper books, not e-books), flossing my teeth, writing snail mail, coloring and cutting hair, making lists, blackberry and Jesus.

Oh! And my favorite movie would have to be a tie between Fiddler on the Roof and Anchorman.

My handsome husband and wonderful family help me immensely with this blog. They give me ideas, proof read my awful writing and star in many of the pictures. Thank you to each and everyone of them, and you who help this place be anything good that it may be.

I hope that you can take something away from this blog. I also hope that you comment often, challenge me and request things to be written about. This blog isn’t for me, it’s for us.
