Healthy Donuts

Who doesn’t like donuts for breakfast? My husband grew up on eating donuts every Sunday morning before going to church. So, whenever the last day of the week comes around, he looks at me with those puppy dog eyes and begs for a donut. So, without feeling guilty about feeding my family pure sugar, I came up with this recipe. Its main ingredient is Medjool Dates. Dates are amazingly nutritious and will help curb your sweet tooth cravings. Dates boost your energy and are a potassium powerhouse and high in magnesium. If you feel you want a double boost in energy, add your favorite kind of nuts to this recipe.


Here is a quick recipe for a healthy and sweet breakfast solution.

  • 1 cup Pitted Medjool Dates
  • 1/2 cup Organic Dried Apricots
  • 1/2 cup Organic Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Hemp Seeds

Process all ingredients in food and roll into 3in donut holes.

Serves 6, two donuts each
