Hey guys! It’s Sarah here. This week, my family is really sick. My husband has the flu and cough and my daughter has a bad cough and a lot of mucus. I thought I’d share my TOP TEN list of my families favorite things to eat when sickness creeps into our home and also, the health benefits to go along with them. I’ve been juicing every day for two months now and I haven’t been sick yet, even with a house full of very catchy germs. I think the biggest thing we can all do during flu season is to frequently WASH YOUR HANDS!
My top TEN foods to Eat and Drink when you’re feeling a little under the weather
Ginger– Improves absorption in the body, anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, relieves motion sickness, relives menstrual cramps, reduces throat and nose congestion, relieves cold and flu symptoms (ancient Chinese medicine), and reduces flatulence.
Garlic- Anti-bacterial and anti-viral, reduced blood pressure, reduced cholesterol, combats allergies, high consumption during cold will reduce symptoms, and clears acne.
